Why not join the NHCR?
« on: September 04, 2008, 09:44:45 AM »

With several successful losers already on our boards, I have this suggestion to make.

We have Stephen, Karky, Oslo, and more (who have disappeared from the board)

I wonder if it's a good idea, I think it is, that you successful losers enrol on the National Weight Control registry. You'd just have to detail how you lost the weight and how you're maintaining - 30 pounds is enough - I think this would be good for advertising the SLD and the oil method. Regularly studies are made based on NWCR people's testimonials, maybe in a while they post an article mentioning that X successful losers used the SLD method...

I leave you the links, think about it

I've been a member for around 3 years. They give you a detailed questionnaire on eating habits, exercise habits, etc. but nothing I remember about which "plan" you're on.

Hyia Kitten  But, you get to describe the way you lost, right? I figure if enough people show up saying they took ELOO that's gotta show on some eventual study, as a percentage, maybe.

It's cool - but I lost less than 30#.

Not in the surveys I took... they ask a ton of questions, like how often you eat red meat, how many vegetable servings, etc. etc. etc. but unless you wrote it in as a comment, the fact that you were taking ELOO as a supplement to your diet would likely be missed by the survey.

Oh, what a shame, but maybe one can include ELOO in the daily fats? or just in the testimonials.

Too bad the survey doesn't have a way to track SLD inputs.
