Actually, a lighter off-road bike is exactly what he is thinking about.  The other was my idea...

Actually sorry - didn't read your post properly. Here's hoping it is a long winter and he has enough time for two project bikes ;)

234 pounds today, had the munchies last night and nibbled for a while on some nice piri piri biltong. No carbs but quite salty.

So only lost .2 pounds :P

Now for the folks who like stats (like me!!) here is a table like I posted early on with my latest numbers:

238.4 marks the result of the weekend's indulgences, including pizza last night  8)

Back to the normal routine this week, now to lose the 4.8 pounds I gained over the weekend.  ::)

236.4 held pretty steady all week which most likely means a virus of sorts, or a plateau.

I'm inclined to think the former as my AS hasn't been as good as before and I've had a mild sore throat - such is, nothing to really stop me just enough for my body to want to hold on to the fat.

Now to the weekend!

Still feeling "meh" and at 238.6 starting to show red on the hackers graph. Had a bit of a lingering sore throat etc which hasn't really shifted, and my AS is out of the window - with lots of carb cravings. This can be either an infection or sleep issues, so I'm going to try some work on that.

But I still fit into my brand new jeans no problem, and my new business suit so I'm not exactly balooning :)

236.4 today, so a little bounce back after the weekend. Trying not to eat too much at the moment :)

Thanks keys - it has been quite a journey and a big success.

As you may have guessed from recent patterns, I tend to post more when I'm losing weight. At the moment I'm in a bit of a plateau, and in fact gained a bit when my appetite kicked up a gear. This is a signal to me to change things so I've been spending the last few weeks tweaking my amount of oil and other bits of my diet to try and get back. That said I'm also thinking about more exercise than my usual walking and attempts at this tend to halt weight loss.

All the best and have patience - it can really work!

Hey All :)

I'm fine, been holding steady around the 249 pounds mark for a few months. I'm resigned to the fact that winter time is going to be a bit of a struggle with the short days we have up here in Scotland. I think that is the pattern so as the days get longer I'm expecting to lose weight again.

I'd like to get below 240 pounds but with maintenance I'm ok - still taking my SLD calories each day and mostly weighing myself regularly too. Big protein shake in the morning, a light lunch and a light meal in the evening apart from ELOO.

Temperature round here is 1C (34F) so quite cool but spring should be just around the corner.

I trust you guys are all well ?

Thanks for the update Numpty, you are such an inspiration to us all. I do hope you make it to 240 soon. Sorry to hear its so cold over there. Here in North AFrica it is cold but only snows every now and then. I am doing better as I get back on the bandwagon. I switched to Canola oil today and I am hoping to get better AS with it. I am also trying to walk as much as I can because I am not always good about eating less. again, its great to hear from you again.

I might dust off this thread, after a while my weight has crept up and I'm trying to start afresh.

First step is to stick to SLD calories every day - I'm at Day 10 of 5 Tablespoons of Canola, noseclipped each day. No big noticeable impact so far but I think I have a cold :)
