The best thing that has happened is that I no longer get SO hungry that I feel like I am starving and have to eat a cheeseburger right away or suffer a horrible death. Tha's what being hungry has felt like for the last three years. Now when I get hungry it feels a lot more normal and it never involves McDonalds. -- peazazz

Back from visiting relatives for the holidays, and I'm glad to find that according to my own scale I gained only (a little less than) a pound. Not bad considering that I didn't pay much attention to what I was eating and when!

I was weighing myself on another scale while I was away, but I don't think it was a very reliable one. The first day I used it I was told I had gained nine pounds (since using my own scale the day before). When I used it Sunday, it said I had lost a little more than five pounds (since using my own scale a week-and-a-half before). If both of those results had been accurate, I lost about 14 pounds in one week. I don't think so.

Odd day today. I usually take my oil in the morning, around 10am (breakfast time for me) then have lunch in the midafternoon and a supper between 9pm and 12am. Today I took the oil as usual and had my lunch, but I'm still not hungry at almost 1am.

I will probably eat something before bed, but AS usually isn't this strong. I mean, I usually eat about 1500 calories a day, and today I've only had about 900. :?

Low days won't hurt you (and might even be healthy according to some -- look up intermittent fasting...) -- bonus if you could do it without being hungry!

Thanks, VK! Had another day without much hunger, but my small lunch packed a lot of calories, so the final count was closer to normal.

Went out and bought the Appetite for Reduction cookbook today, and it looks like it's full of yummy stuff.

Ravenously hungry the past couple of days, and eating some junk. Not the best days for the diet.

Balancing out the low, maybe. But it sounds like you're listening to your body - and a little bit of junk can sometimes be deeply soothing!

I generally avoid going to any event where I have to wear anything dressier than jeans. I just don't like dressing up. This weekend, I finally agreed to go to such an event for the sake of a friend who didn't want to go alone. And I discovered that my dressy clothes don't really fit anymore. LOL. This should be a great new excuse for not dressing up.

Just a personal mile marker post, so I'll remember later: Been on SLD 4 months, lost 29 pounds. :)

I have been belting my pants for the past 3 months. This week I took my belt in to have new holes put in it, and I'm already using one of the new ones.

I tried on some pants today while out at a mall. The pants two sizes smaller fit, but were still tight. The pants one size smaller were a better fit than either my current pants or the smaller ones. I was very pleased, though I didn't yet buy any pants. :)

Thanks for the update - 29 pounds loss is excellent, I'm one hole down in my belt - it is slightly annoying because I used to be able to put my belt on without checking because it was always the same hole!

You are three months ahead of me so great inspiration! Thanks!

My doctor just informed me that I have hypothyroidism. He was impressed I've been losing weight! I'm hoping that medication for the condition will help even more. :)
