It's really hard to do entirely sugar. 10 Tablespoons of sugar all at one sitting is more than I recall anybody here trying, and most people go with oil for the health benefits. Even with 2T sugar, I took at least 20 minutes to drink it. 5-10 minutes is definitely too fast. If people use sugar, more typically they use it for part of their flavorless calories, and they take at least 15 minutes to drink it, in smaller quantities. You don't say how long you have tried this, but as you will read here, sometimes it takes awhile.
In some countries, extra light olive oil is sometimes called olive oil with a "light tasting" label. The calories are the same, the color is often pale yellow rather than the green of virgin olive oil. In some countries, canola is called rapeseed oil. These things are in the book, so if you don't find a book source, you can probably find most of this information by reading here. If you don't have a local source for ELOO or Canola, look for another oil with as little flavor as possible. Some people have done well with flavored oils, by noseclipping. I take fishoil capsules for part of my flavorless calories. Look in the "Which Oils are Best" section for some tips on choosing an oil. Look in the tips and innovations section for other methods, and check out the sections on noseclipping and crazy spicing.
You did not say where you read about SLD, but information on the internet is not always accurate. Sometimes they forget about the flavorless window. I hope you are able to find a way to get the book. Amazon ships light books nearly everywhere, but if you live in one of those few places where they don't ship books, and you have no bookstores who could order something for you, hopefully someone you know can tell you how they get their books. But if books are not an option, you may have to live with the audio version, since it appears you could get that (?) Or you could read some threads here, although that's neither as complete nor as fast.
