Today i did not feel hungry at all. It was 2pm when I realized that I had not eaten anything all day. But I did not feel hungry. I knew I had to eat though, so I went to the vending machine and got a small packet of cheese-its. I couldnt even finish it...--babyphat

That is a great article, VK!  I certainly relate--- though more in the past than the present.  In fact once I got better at being happy and having a life (and diddn't think being thin would magically solve things), ironically it got a lot easier to lose weight --- because I wasn't in a hurry, could accept myself along the way more easily, and found that a lot of it can actually be fun (the exercise is fun, the support here is wonderful, and it's also a great feeling to eat better food more consciously).  Ironically again, the time in my life I was most desperately unhappy was when I was thinnest.  Right now I'd like to lose 8-10 lbs, but I look and feel "good enough" right now to enjoy my life and all the love in it.

VK, that was a very thought provoking article, and I am glad you posted it.

Awesome article VK. I have had the same experience as that author. While I may still have some days where I wish I was a few pounds lighter if I stop to examine my thoughts for even a second what I find buried just beneath the surface is some self doubt about who I actually am. The size of my hips is complete nonsense.

I still drink oil because ingesting a certain amount of fat daily keeps me feeling comfortably full and not ravenous all day. I have noticed however that in the past year that I am eating plenty ( more than a year ago) but my weight is the same. Clothes fit fine. Has oil redistributed my weight? Maybe. Does it keep me less obsessed with carbs. Probably. But the big thing and perhaps this is due to sld perhaps not is that I don't really care anymore. ( and a year or more ago even with SLD I cared ALOT.) I am not struggling. And I suspect because I am not struggling my weight is settling right where it needs to be for me.

m.c., how's SLD going for you these days? Great, it sounds like... Hey are you still using Xylitol? I'm interested in trying it.  (VK sorry to hijack your thread but MC I can't find your page, if you have one... )

:D Hi Xtine ( Hi VK!) You know I have not updated my page in eons. I haven't had anything earth shattering to report. So I've blathered on on other peoples pages Sorry!! I do still use Xylitol. I eat everything. I have gradually let go of all my food rules ( except wheat/gluten and drinking oil) and I am happier for it. Food is no longer my enemy. Its not my friend either. Its just food. Most of which tastes good. :) My body image has no meaning now either. Its not bad or good. It just is. :)

M.c., you seem to have reached a true zen state. Whereas with Karky it seems a natural part of her, I think you had to work to get there. Any pointers as to how you did it?

Hi there, I don't mind you in my thread, you can be zen and laid back here all you like!

I've been doing pretty well, except for ... parties. Party food that you graze on, that's hard to track. And delicious. And flavor-full... because it's anti-social to nose-block instead of talking to people! So my overall intake has been high in the past week (3 events). My weight's steady.
I stuck to really nutritious food, but I lost control of portions. Dried cherries, Greek olive tapenade, roasted vegetables, cashews... etc. YUM!

Oh and a super sweet, delicious pumpkin pie that I made. I put less sugar in than the recipe called for but the pumpkin -- a Fairytale Pumpkin -- must have been really sweet already. This irresistible treat showed me once again that eating sugar ultimately makes me cranky and depressed.  :x ... I felt much better later in the week with my party indulgences that weren't simple carbs. That was a good reminder.

I'm feeling pretty good overall, trying to cultivate that unconcerned state of mind, and to be active because it feels good.

I think while VK may not be losing those last few pounds, she's found a way of dropping years, which is a much better option from where I'm standing! :D

Hehe, I joke that I've been 23 for the past 20 years. When I was a teen, everyone thought I was older. Now people think I'm younger than I am. It's the baby face.  :P

This is my Halloween dress, which I bought on Oct. 31 for $3:

Dayum Girrl! You lookin good. :D I'm with Maychi I'd trade a few lbs for your fountain of youth. And Maychi I'm hardly zen but I did start boring myself to tears with my inner dialogue of self hate. Nutso I can handle. Boring not so much.

Please, really honestly, take a look at that fat acceptance article you posted again.  I don't care if when you are naked things are more jiggly than you'd like, you look so GOOD!  I would never guess how old you were, or that you even remotely thought you were fat.  You do not look like a person who needs to worry about her weight at all.

And look at how fit your arms are!  You could probably beat me up!

So even if people do think you are fat, just rest assured that you can probably beat them into submission no problem!!!!
