This was actually part of an informal "theory to practice" experiment on myself.
In theory, if you eat a bunch of Buffalo wings, plus several big bowls of salted peanuts (in the shell), drinking Guiness watching the Redskins just barely loose to the HATED Cowboys....
... then prepare a full Thanksgiving Dinner for your visiting in-laws, including Turkey, Stuffing, MP's, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Green Beans, and Pumpkin Pie... and have 3rds.... the next morning you should expect to see your mass greater than it was the day before.
The experiment confirmed the theory.
Looking back on the 41 data points I've recorded since September, it is very clear that I can get a consistent result of about 0.5 lb per week, provided I am able to follow a routine which involves a daily progress check. For the past two weeks or so, I have been unable to do this, since the Wii was in for repair, and then I had a very long trip out West. It's pretty obvious, so I am actually very pleased with the effect of the SLD.
I really have not been trying that hard to consciously deny myself any kind (or amount) of food, other than within the two hour window around ELOO consumption. So- I plan to keep doing this, until I reach about 160 (which will be around 80 weeks or so from now). I don't mind the hassle of getting that twice daily injection of flavorless calories, as long as I am making slow, steady progress.
Although I've seen about 0.6 lb per week, I wouldn't be surprised if I actually develop a better rate, now that I've figured out a few things about when to take it, and the importance of getting it in, even late at night.
I'm going to figure out how to do a "moving average" with my data on the spread sheet (which is not periodic enough to do it easily), so I can actually start looking at the rate per month.
