Hey lil' Nougatina, I believe power-of-ten is recommended to be done with gym equipment since you go to failure with lifts.
Any and all exercise will work it's magic, if you commit to it for a while. Key point though - the magic comes after the work - not instead of it. : ) The trick is to find something that you enjoy and is challenging. If you don't enjoy it, you won't keep it up, and if it isn't challenging, your body won't respond. What exercise are you doing currently?
