Today after 3 days away eating communally (and not doing much exercise) I'm at 141--- up a tiny smidge.  But I'm not worried, I can get back into my routine now and the overall trend is definitely downwards.  TOM is here too.

Today at 140.0!  (August 8 '08).  So exciting!  The 130s are coming! I have lost 4.4 lbs in nearly 6 weeks. (Yeah, I'm slow but I've also been exercising a lot which reduces rate of weight loss but not fat loss I hope).

What's working: Daily exercise and Weight Watchers tracking system.
What's still tricky: figuring out what to do that isn't oil because of digestive issues.
Plan for next week: Noseclip one meal a day. Eat lots of fiber and protein.  Get enough sleep.

« Reply #32 on: August 18, 2008, 06:26:54 AM »

I'm so excited!  Today I was at 139.2--- first time I've seen the 130's.  Hopefully I'll see the other numbers in that range in the next couple of months!
And I've lost my FIRST FIVE POUNDS!!
Starting weight: 144.6
Starting date: 7/7/ 08
Today's date: 8/18/08.

So that's 5 lbs in seven weeks.

Congrats!!! :D :D :D  Bet it's more than 5 lbs of fat, too, because of your muscle building exercise!

So, holding steady: 3rd day in a row at 139.2.   Hopefully I'll start the downward trend again soon.  On the other hand, that's pretty good given Sunday huge birthday dinner; Monday at home; yesterday a fabulous restaurant dinner.  Tonight eating out again (it's just that kind of week after a birthday...) but the AS is really helping me manage these meals by keeping the rest of the day frugal and sticking to portion sizes at the restaurants.  Onwards and downwards... I'm a bit over my Hacker's Diet graph line but not much.

So, hovering around 139 --- 5 lbs down in seven weeks; 5.4 lbs in 8 weeks (I started exercise a week before starting SLD).

Method: 1 TBSP CO mornings, 1 TBSP flax at night.  And tracking points on Weight Watchers for the last 3 weeks.
Also doing a Body for Life style exercise challenge ('12 week challenge' on the exercise thread).  Pleased with slow-ish progress
so far.  My favorite stripey pants and my jeans do up again!

With this page, I"m just going to change the title once a week (ie. add current weight to the thread title) and write a quick update on the first page.  All my "chatty" ongoing stuff is henceforth going on my SLD page.  It seems silly to have 2 threads.

Thanks TV!  I forgot to include though that between 139 and 136 was a horrid TOM spike where I ate everything in sight for my PMS week and gained 3 lbs, then dropped 2 of them then slowly inched back down past previous low.  It's anything BUT steady!  However this month I am armed against TOM munchies by taking calcium (reputed to really help with PMS) and being committed to keep up the exercise, which also helps mood and appetite.

So, I'm mostly posting in my SLD page, but will use this for actual updates:

October, I pretty much stayed round 136.  I also didn't take oil regularly, though kept up exercise and calorie counting.
Conclusion: My body happily settled on a set point of 136 lbs left to its own devices.

Now it's November 08 and I'm taking the oil again (FSO 1 x day with yogurt before bed plus EVCO mornings.
I've also added apple cider vinegar and today I'm at 134.6, exactly 10 lbs down since starting a bit over 4 months ago.
134.6 is my lowest so far this round and I'm hoping to push down a couple of pounds in November.  I was derailed by
a tooth infection & antibiotics (weird weight spikes and fluid retentions) but feel better now-- at least til my next visit
to the dentist.

My Hackers Diet graph shows an average loss per month over the 4 months of .49 lb a week-- a tad under half a pound.
Very pleased with progress so far, I don't mind that it's slow, what I'm happy about is that this is the longest I've ever
stuck with anything, I don't find it a strain, and it works!

My goal is 130, I might revise that downwards once I get there but I want to see how I feel at 130 first.
