OH  I opened this thread and, a picture of my beloved Blackie here above gave me a pang in my heart - I'm still mourning him - alas, those 2 dogs are no more. They were so special to me. Poor Blackie lately only wanted our company, since Kiko disappeared last fall to never be seen again Blackie was never the same again. They were inseparable pals. I wish they are somewhere running together and having fun.
I still "greet" the place Blackie used to sit every morning, at the building entrance. I say Hello baby, just like I used to. When I leave I say Bye, big baby, and today I could swear I heard him sleeping and snoring in our office, like he used to.
But, a couple days before Blackie passed away, a stray cat was meowing near the rails, apparently lost and I managed to attract him (or her I'm not sure) with catspeak and food. The cat is so sweet, he must have lived with people, he's not at all wary of people. On the contrary, he lays down on his back like asking us to tickle his tummy, which we do and he loves that. Well, this cat ended up staying at our yard and we have a new watch animal
