I checked the BMI tables (per your link). At 5'10", the beginning of "normal" is 132. So I guess I miscalculated what my goal weight should be.
Of course, that's ridiculous. You are right -- a man of my height who weighed 132 would be supected of disease (or at least, bad eating disorder). Didn't the people who came up with this system do a "reality check" on it before it became the gold standard for healthy weight in this country?
Anyway, BMI aside, 165 would probably correspond to a very low (12-14%) bodyfat for me, based on distant memories of the good old days
I'm at 182.5 now, and still have plenty to spare. So another 17 lbs or so seem not unreasonable.
