Semi-Triumphant Return
« on: July 23, 2007, 01:31:04 PM »

Okay, so I know I've been absent for a really long time, but things happen.  I moved to a fantastic new apartment (YAY!), my aunt passed away after a prolonged affliction with an unidentified neurological condition (*sniffs*), I got a new job (WOO-HOO!) and both of my parents and my youngest brother were involved in a massive car accident (PANIC!) but they're all doing fantastically well (*relief*).

So, I've had some serious up and down for the last - oh, I don't know - two months or so.

However, despite all of that, I managed to take my oil every day and continued to lose weight.  Albeit not as quickly as usual.  Though, now I seem back on track.

And then, a week ago I walked into Target and actually bought clothes from the regular women's section.  *screeches with joy*  I'm not a plus-size anymore!  I'm so excited!

Joy!

I'm glad most everything has turned out OK

Especially excited about the not-so-plus-size you've found yourself in. 8)
I can't wait for that to happen to me.

Yep, it does feel great when you can go into a regular store and actually find stuff to fit you :D

It's good to hear from you on the boards again, Del. Sorry to hear about the trials and tribulations. But hooray for the good things... and through all that thick and thin, you're still getting thinner! That is fantastic news.

Welcome back Del!

One of the best days on SLA was the day that I donated all of my 1X clothing to a local charity.  I have nothing but regular sized clothing in my closet these days.  In fact, I get irritated when I get plus sized catalogs in the mail......don't they know that I don't need them anymore????  :D

Welcome back del! I would say that anyone going through all that, and can stay on the oil, and lose any weight at all, is returning
triumphantly! You are a real role model!

Glad you're back, Del. I'm sorry to hear about the family difficulties, but hooray about the job and apartment! It's impressive that you've managed to stick with SLD through all of that -- even positive changes tend to create uproar in people's routines. Congratulations.
