effects of accidentally cheating?
« on: May 29, 2007, 03:37:57 pm »

i'm 5 days into the diet and i love how it has supressed my appetite!  it seems to be working.  however, random candy snacking is a problem with me at my office because candies and mints and chocolates are EVERYWHERE.

today, about 10 minutes i had taken my second ELOO dose, i was chatting with some coworkers and was passed a box of chocolates.  not thinking (or even hungry!) i grabbed a mint chocolate and bit into it and when it was in my mouth i realized that i wasn't supposed to ingest anything for another hour...  but by that time it was already dissolving in my mouth and to spit it out would be rude in front of people.

does this mean my last ELOO tablespoon will have associated itself to the mint flavor?

Not unless you make it a habit, perhaps you should review the times you are taking the oil so that there is no way you will be tempted. Many people find either first thing in the morning or last thing at night to be better times as there is only one hour to worry about.

Get that right and the candy habit will take care of itself, you'll find you eventually no longer want it. What you are doing is mostly out of habit. It can take a while to break the habit.
