I heard about it from my new boss on my first or second day on the job.  I thought I had gone to work for a crazy person!  He gave me a copy of the book and after reading it, I was hooked.  It all makes so much sense.  Now I find it humorous to see the looks on people's faces when I tell them about it!   :)

Womens World magazine.  I have been buying them occassionaly for some years now and have never yet tried any of the "diets" they contained, until now.  My first reaction "this sounds too good to be true, too easy, but what the heck, OO can't hurt".  Well this is only my third day and to my amazement it is working.
All I can say is Thank you, thank you and thank you Seth Roberts!!  :D

I'm one of the lucky ones who helps choose new books for our library. When I saw the words "Shangri-La and Diet" in the same title, I thought it would be hoot to read (and of course, I was thinking of our loyal patrons too!) I'm the first of our staff (mostly peri-menopausal ladies) to try the diet.
Its been 3 weeks, and I'm experiencing all sorts of goodies: serene, uninterrupted sleep, Incredible Shrinking Body Parts, and finally, finally, appetite suppression. No pounds lost yet, but not surprising - I'm paying an extended visit to PMS-ville...this too shall pass.
I look at the book (Thank you Seth) as a framework of sorts - a foundation to build on...but the support to create this healthier life - it's all here. Thanks to all of you!

Women's World magazine.  Funny, I worked at UC Berkeley for 26 years and never heard of Prof Seth Roberts until 3 months after my June retirement . . . !  Well, it is a big campus!

I saw the title on Woman's World magazine and bought it. I never buy magazines (other than a subscription to People). Great eye popping title and good article.

Heard last 3 minutes of Dennis Prager......... thought I could remember the website without writing it down. Couldn't. Forgot about it.  A month later I was in Borders and found the book.

I read the article in Woman's World, but didn't have the guts to try until today.  Today is the 4 month anniversary of my husband's funeral.  I want to be back with him one day, but I want to look my best for him first.
