Kathy Sierra Blog "Creating Passionate Users".   If SLD can get me below my 240 barrier (no diet has before in the past) then I will be a true believer.   In my 2nd week and 10 lbs. to go.

"Creating Passionate Users" blog was also where I saw it. A few days ago I had a vague memory of Diane Sawyer swallowing a teaspoon of oil on GMA (I think). I'm a huge skeptic, though, and needed to see it vouched for by someone I had more faith in.

Kathy Sierra Blog "Creating Passionate Users".

That's where I first heard about it.

I saw it on Good Morning America back in November.  I could kick myself for not having tried it then.

Dennis Prager show for me, too.  It immediately made sense to me and I bought the book within a few days.

I first saw this discussed on Marginal Revolution, but I didn't read the paper. After that it was the Freakonomics blog and column mention. But I didn't start SLD until after I read the book.

Saw the book in Politics and Prose in DC.  I found it intriquing and bought it.

It was sort of by accident that I found out about the SL Diet...I was actually in Borders looking for another specific diet book!  I had heard about this other diet book on television and was curious about it, and didn't want to wait to order it on Amazon.  So I went directly to the store and searched and searched for the other book, which they didn't have.  I was just leaving the store and passing by the new hardcover nonfiction table, and there was the Shangri-La Diet staring me in the face! I picked it up, scanned the back and inside front cover, and thought, what the heck.

Now, here I am today!  I've just started and I'm really excited about it...I hope to be posting more here soon with results!

I've forgotten but if it was on InstaPundit, I most likely heard it there first. Bought the book from Amazon soon after.

I saw a link on the Go Fug Yourself website, which I read daily...such a hoot!  I was intrigued, clicked on the link, and then Googled it.  I then went to Barnes and Noble and bought the book.  And, here I am.   8)

MSNBC.com and the interview by Will Femia last week. A quick Google search and found this site. Started the SLD on Monday and am already a believer.

Freakonomics blog first, but didn't follow up.

Then, a banner as on ediets.com (where I am about to cancel my membership due to SLD success.)

Reading about it in one place made it "click" the next time I saw it. I'm sure this is standard knowledge for marketers.

SLD was mentioned on Instapundit during week of 4/30, so I ordered the book from Amazon on 5/6.  Started on 5/11.  Lost 2 pounds first week.  Will weigh in again this afternoon.

I read a VERY brief, passing reference about it in the comments section of some personal weblog, posted along with a corresponding link to an online article or some such.  I was like "Shangri-la Diet??? -- now that's a new one".  Nearly passed it over, but went ahead and clicked on the link.  And boy, am I glad I did....
