How did you hear about Shangri-La?

Just curious.  For me it was the Freakonomics blog and the authors' NYT article.

On the Dennis Prager show.  I was immediately interested because I respect Prager immensely and the fact that he would talk about it and have Seth on the show was very meaningful.

I clicked on an advertisement in an eDiets newsletter that I get, then googled it, which took me to the calorielab.com article, and from there, a link to these boards.  I went out and bought the book the same day, which was Saturday after it was released on, I believe, Tuesday April 25.

The podcast from Instapundit. Googled the diet, found the forums, and ordered the book from Amazon.

I can not find the book in any of the stores around here!

From the Freakonomics column in the New York Times. Tried googling at that point, and didn't come up with enough info to try it. Was thrilled when I finally stumbled on an ad for the book. Went right to Barnes & Noble to get it. Borders didn't have it, or at least I couldn't find it there, and didn't want to wait for Amazon.

Initially found it on the web a year or two ago in a reference to self-experiementing.  Then re-ignited my interest when I read the NYT Freakonomics column by Dubner & Levitt, which is when I started.

It was an amazon.com book recommendation. I really only bought it out of curiosity.

Someone posted about it on a Low Carb board I read.  I was curious enough to want to know more, and I bought the book at Barnes and Noble.  There are a couple people there trying it, and I'll be posting some results as soon as I feel I have something to report.

I've been generally happy with low carb (gotta love those lower lipid numbers!) but I thought I might experiment.  I can even see using SLD in conjunction with LC (oil, of course!) since cutting out refined carbs has so many other benefits.

Saw it mentioned on Instapundit.com. Read up on it on the net, then ordered the book.
