Today i did not feel hungry at all. It was 2pm when I realized that I had not eaten anything all day. But I did not feel hungry. I knew I had to eat though, so I went to the vending machine and got a small packet of cheese-its. I couldnt even finish it...--babyphat

believer's progress
« on: May 19, 2006, 02:51:40 pm »

I don't know how much was my weight when I began 3 weeks ago, because I didn't dare to look at the scale.

My hunger soon disappeared: before Shangri-la, I was always looking for some bite of food (an apple, a ham slice and so on). Now I'm totally in control and that's was my first very important goal.

My routine is: no breakfast, 11 am 2 tbs of oil (olive, soya, rice, grapeseed), 2 pm dinner (what I like, but very little because of my lack of appetite), 17 pm 2 tbs oil, 20 pm lunch.

I don't think that my tbs are very big, so perhaps I take 1 1/2 tbs.

Anyway, I've decided to loose 0,5 - 1kg a week, and in the last week I've checked my weight and I loose 0,1 a day. Perfect and in total control!

food had become an obsession, now I don't even remember I have to eat. I thought to have mind or soul problems, Instead my behaviour was primordial. What a relief!

Thank you very much dr Roberts and all forum participants

I just wanted to mention to you that a US tbsp is approximately 15ml.  The most important factor however is the number of flavorless calories.  1.5 tbsp of oil would be roughly 22.5 ml and ~ 180 calories.  According to Seth's suggestions that should be a good amount for someone trying to lose 20lbs or less.  Regardless, if it is working for you keep doing it.  If it stops working for you try adjusting your amount up or down as appropriate.

Good luck believer!

I wouldn't care if the scale said 400 lbs, if I looked like Brad Pitt.

Thank you for the information. I'm waiting for the book that I ordered to Amazon (I live in Italy and it takes some weeks for the delivery).

I should be glad, of course, if I could loose weight faster, but I' m little worried about the yo-yo effect. I think that there is less danger if I loose only 0,5-1 kg a week.

Perhaps in the book there is some indication.
