I'm on day 5. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WORKS!!!! I told my sister about it and while she scoffed at first she's on Day 2 and as ecstatic as I am. My appetite is a fraction of what it used to be and I no longer have trouble drinking the oil (in fact, I look forward to it because I know what it's going to do for me).  I'm totally confident that I'm going to be able to lose the 20 lbs of baby weight.  I'm telling you, I could cry. -- Katy

I couldn't do the SW tonight. I was not feeling good at all, all day long. I felt the same yesterday. I went to bed because I felt soooo bad. Now I am ok. I am probably reacting to sugar. I can't do it anymore. I can tell that it will get me sick. So tonight I did 2tea spoon of flaxseed oil. I guess time will tell. I am praying hard for this one to work. I still got a good AS. Never really lost it in all my essay. Please this time I want it to work with the flaxseed oil  :|.

Back to scare 1. I am still developping more spider veins and varicoses and my legs and ties etc... Maybe it is the oil, maybe it is a new condition developed lately but, I will do the alternative way. I will noseclip for at least 400 calories a day and see how that works for me. So far everything that I ingest as flavorless calories seems to work but some are better than others for the general feeling of my mind and body. I really enjoyed the flaxseed oil. I felt good. No light head, no tight throat, no lack of concentration. Sad that I can't keep going on the oil.
Right now I am treating my spider veins with apple cider vinegar and holly.... I am still loosing weight. I am at 221.8 this morning. Amazing...I can't wait to be under the 200. That will be so cool.

I wonder if the noseclip will be as effective for the AS and to lower my setpoint as the oil was?

Under 200 was FANTASTIC. The only thing that'll come close is goal.  :)

Just a thought - you might want to noseclip more than 400 calories.  Others seem to have noticed that noseclipping is not exactly equal to SLD calories.

Sounds like you may end up rotating thru the various SLD options - wonder if it's inadvertantly working extra well for you by keeping your body from getting used to any one routine.  Rooting for you - Good luck!

I am not sure but my body seem to really feels every little thing I do with Shangri La Diet experimentation. Last night in my window of two hours, I took one once of cheese with a fruit juice(Nose Clip). I got a really strong AS for almost all night, too full. This morning, I took a yogurt with fruits+1/4 cup of Nuts mix (Nose Clip)and I was so full. I hate just a little at lunch and I feel full, full, full. I actually ate too much. 1/2 of a bagel with a tuna mix with veggies. I can't eat more now, for sure. I think that I would explode if I would do so. Tonight I will again take my cheese and juice to add to my SLD Calories. I'll kept trying and I will hopefully find what will do for me. Because of my nose piercing I have to be cautious when I nose clip. I tried ear plugs in my nostril ... lol it work fine but I looked terrible. I don't want to stretch my nose and finish by putting a toilet paper roll in each nostril at the end  :D

Wow,
I really am on my way down. I lost again 0.5 pounds. Nose clipping works for me it seems. Everything that Seth Roberts propose in is theory seem to work well for me. I can't use them all but It work. In fact, my Nose Clipping AS was very strong yesterday. Probably stronger than I never experienced so far. I wasn't sure last night if I should add SLD calories because I already felt so full. I think that this time, I have the right formula for me but, again....Time will tell....Me and my physical reactions...grrrrr! lol

I have been on SLD for a little bit more than two months now and really since the first day I felt a AS and it seems to be more in my brain then in my stomach itself. When I apply a presser on my stomach I feel it in my head too. It is a very different feeling of being full. Does it make sens what I am saying? Is somebody feel it too like this?

Hm. I can sure relate to the "brain, not the stomach" part. It seems to have changed what I want to do more than what I can do, in terms of eating. Not sure about applying pressure to the stomach, though. Do you mean you can actually feel it in your head?

Frenata,

It is a little as if my brain knew that I was trying to trick it and it is not sure how to react. It is as if my body, head knew that it is my brain that is not hungry instead of my stomach.... Hard to explain lol but anyway.., it is cool, it work and I am happy :)

I understand what you are saying Clarinette. Your stomach might be hungry but your brain is telling you not.  So if you are thinking you are hungry because it has been a while, go do something else and see if time doesn't pass quickly and before you know it you have no thought of food. I sometimes take a big drink of water and then a few minutes later have no desire for food. I have noticed the being nusy and drinking water works better since I started SLD in September. Before SLD, if I were busy, I would still be thinking "is it time to eat?" It is so nice to be freed from that thought.
By the way, I just read all your messages and you are doing great!  I am happy for you.

I used to sometimes eat to bursting, but if it was mainly fiber and water (like salad), I'd still be hungry. Even though I was full. Or turkey dinner, and I'd want pie even though I was stuffed (and could have pie later if I waited!)
Today I was really hungry at 3:00. I ate 10 grapes and felt full, even though there's just no way that fills my tum up. I haven't been in AS that long. So, I totally think that there is brain full and stomach full, and they're different things.

Terri:
Water makes me full too now... lol funny

Moxie:
My head and my stomach already feel as if it would explode just from the taught of over eating the turkey Dinner. I probably could eat it but I would be so sick after....I wouldn't want to go there..

Neat, Clarinette!! I say don't worry about getting "enough" calories right now then (your body has plenty of those in reserve). Just get lots of good nutrients: easily digested proteins (errr, is there any such thing?), veggies, fruits, and of course, water...

I think you're going to be really on a roll now!!
