I just thought I'd tell you about my mum's weightloss as I'm so chuffed about it Very Happy . Mum has been on the diet for maybe a month less than me and during that time I know she's skipped a lot of her oil doses.

Also, she is chronically hypothyroid and has been for 30 years and is taking 7.5 mg / daily prednisone (steroids) for her rheumatoid arthritis which are well-known for inducing weight gain. And yet, she informed me yesterday that she got on the scale for the first time in a month or so and was surprised to find that she'd lost 9 lbs!

She is using rapeseed (canola) oil and finds this works better for her than the other oils she's tried - ELOO and hempseed oil.

The reason I mention this is not only that I'm pleased my mum is losing weight - it's been virtually impossible for her in the past - but that I consider my mum to be a 'control' subject. She had no expectation that it would work and isn't in the least 'suggestible'. She's 65 and has seen it all in her time. I think she just tried it to humour me initially and later on continued because she saw that my own weightloss has been so steady and easy.
