I'm about to fly off to Washington DC for a few days. I'm taking Trader Joe's mixed oil capsules with me!

Will you be at the biker rally in DC on Sunday?

No, but with the city buzzing with engines and such magnificent weather, all of us who came by plane or train for boring old conferences and other reasons really, really envied the bikers. What a perfect weekend for a rally.

I've been on a plateau for about a month now. Still 143. I've occasionally dipped down to 142, but never for more than a day at a time, so it "doesn't count."

I was consistent with oil during my trip, but since returning on Sunday I've been hungrier than usual. Nothing bingey, but my AS seems to have eroded, so I've been eating more than usual. I've upped the oil these last few days and I've also been drinking fruit-flavored sparkling water for CFF. I'm sure in the long term it'll be fine, but meanwhile it's a little frustrating and I'm having to remind myself to be patient.

mpq, I just could not make it to the bike rally. it was a nice weekend, but got very hot. I just returned from Baltimore a few days ago and am trying to get back into the groove again - including SLD. did do olive oil whenever I could get that 2 hr window; ate and drank more than I should have but did not gain (nor lose  :()

Still plateaued since the end of April.

I spent a few days noseclipping almost everything, and by doing that managed to recover appetite suppression. I think it's now about back to where it was before my trip.

My ticker disappeared for some reason, and it made me a little sad to have to reconstruct it with the same old data. But hey, at least the spike didn't last.

FINALLY, after seven weeks, I read 142 on the scale two days in a row. Plateau's over! Only one measly pound, but I'm not complaining.

A few days ago I changed my routine slightly: I added an extra TB of flax oil at bedtime. I swapped out the morning flax for walnut, so I'm now taking 3 TB total: one of flax at night, two of walnut in the morning. Not sure whether it's the extra calories or (as Talking Rat suggested long ago) that flax flavor is sneaking in through the noseclips, and separating out the walnut works better. In any case, something's working; I've got much better AS, with the constant unquenchable thirst that tells me I'm back in setpoint-reducing mode.

Well. Another month, another pound. Go Turtles!

Not sure what to make of the dwindling returns, scale-wise; but size 8 pants fit me pretty well now (though the 10s aren't falling down, so they won't be going to Goodwill just yet). So I think something's still happening in there. And I'm working out a lot, and we all know about muscle density.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you too. I've become a turtle / you'll see my other post about needing encouragement. Those last 20 take patience I guess. It's hard. Go turtles is absolutely right at this point.

The day after I wrote that, I was riding my push-scooter from the train station (my car's been out of commission, so I've had a train commute with a mile and a half scooter ride on each end lately) when I realized that I'd forgotten to put on a belt and noted that my size 9 striped capris were, in fact, sliding ri down my butt. There wasn't much I could do about it -- you can't hoist up clothing when you're standing on a scooter -- so I just kept going, and hoping I'd had the sense to put on underwear in not too conspicuous a color.

Regrettably, it turned out to be yellow. The capris were charcoal with burgundy and cream stripes.

One more addition to the Goodwill pile.

Oh, and down to 140 this morning! Just one day, though, so I'm not moving the ticker unless it repeats tomorrow.

Good going Ani, glad you didn't trip and wreck, falling pants can do that   Another thing to worry about, coordinating undies to outers...

Fantastic news, ani! You're doing great! Congrats on your falling pants.

We should create back-of-undies patches with some message like "Visible underwear courtesy SLD" or "Forgive my undies: losing weight fast, need to buy new pants". :)

ROFLOL   That must have been some sight to see, Ani. What a great reason for them to fall off, tho. Congratulations, Ms. Captain Underpants!

Apparently I've been doing this a year. How did that happen?  :o  :D

It's been an interesting month or so re setpoint. Something odd's going on: as I mentioned in another post, for the last few weeks I've had the steadiest weight EVER. This last week I've been experiencing contradictory things: the thirst that generally accompanies AS, plus I've been unusually hungry. Very odd. I suspect there's some sort of whoosh down on its way, though it may not be expressed in numbers since I'm getting so much exercise these days. I'm still definitely shrinking and I feel completely different.

I've very quietly made two SLD converts in the last few months, too. That wouldn't have happened if not for the visible results. Slow, not particularly steady, but undeniably there.

I've said this before, but I so much appreciate everyone's experience and encouragement. Many, many thanks to you all.

Hey - I have never heard that the unquenchable thirst is a sign for your set point reducing. Interesting -
