The Shangri-La Diet > Progress/Updates
me so far (still a little skeptical)

Okay, I'm on day 5. The first day I did sugar. I thought I would die from the reaction I had to pure sugar. It was AWFUL. maybe I drank it too fast. Sweats, pulse racing, YUCK.
Day 2. Switched to ELOO 4 tblspoons/day (2tbs 2X). Just not eating 4 hours a day is a good thing. Couldn't even dream of putting sugar in my tea and I used to like 2 spoons.
Day 3. Started to notice I was not so hungry, couldn't finish a sandwich
Day 4. Busy day so I took oil in the am, ran around then thought I would have lunch, but got distracted. Looked up at the clock it was 4:30 and I hadn't eaten a thing! I was not even hungry! Had a take out sushi--felt full after 4 pieces! Waited, did oil, had dinner later around 8 (dinner party) Ate very small portions, though did enjoy the wine.
Day 5. Oil, 2 small meals. Not hungry, no headaches feeling good. Am also making an attempt to vary flavors widely with respect to what I do eat. I find myself really disliking sweet things which is new for me. Also rumbling but not hungry. Interesting.
Also, I was a grazer because I had mild heartburn if I wasn't eating. That has TOTALLY disappeared. Very mysterious! I haven't had a tums all week. Taking vitamins and fish oil with meals, too.
Yes I think it is moderating my appetite. I am not weighing in yet, only plan to every 2 weeks or so. But I am not persuaded yet that just being more aware of WHEN you are eating isn't at least part of the effect. So even if this fails, I feel I like I've already gained more awareness of when I eat.

Wow, those are awesome results!
Looking forward to more.

Observations:
1. wicked soft hair!
2. Eating a LOT less.
3. No more heartburn. And no irritable bowel.
3. Down six pounds!
That's pretty fast, I'm assuming it will slow up a bit.
And amazingly I am not hungry at all. Looking forward to week 2.

Isn't the soft hair neat?
Allison717:
Soft hair...
That almost makes me wish I could do the oil...but all I'd gotten from it so far was wild mood swings and breakouts on my back (ick!). Sugar is my friend so far.
