Here is a chart of 13 week on SLD.

The blue line is actual weight and the pink line is a 5 day average, (2 days before and 2 days after). Currently on my fourth major plateau.

Here is 24 week weight loss chart.

Here is a before and during picture.

SLD Experience

On my first day on SLD I started with 200 calories of sugar/water in the afternoon and that night while eating a bowl of popcorn, I suddenly got very full very quickly. This was unusual for me.

That is the strongest feeling I have ever felt being of SLD. I was counting calories before SLD and decided to continue that routine until I found out how the diet would affect me. Over the next few weeks I tried different variations of oil and sugar, not thinking that the effects were very strong on me, aside from that initial instance. I felt that it was always possible to overeat in any situation if I didnít make the conscious decision to stop eating, which wasnít very hard. In fact, it felt a lot like the appetite suppression I was feeling before SLD, eating lower density, less processed foods. What I realize now is that my portion control was not allowing me to get to that point of feeling full, but I was always satisfied with the amount I was eating. I guess I learned to be satisfied without being full.

In recent weeks I have also come to realize that my hunger during the day has come from boredom rather than needing something substantial to eat. I now chew a stick of gum and Iím satisfied.

Learning what I have about my hunger and eating habits it will be interesting to go off of SLD and see what the effects are. Not sure if Iím ready to do that at this time. I think SLD has been a great tool in allowing me to get a foothold on my eating habits and really analyze what was going on.

Oh, shoot! Sorry...I didn't realize this was in the new My SLD section. Ummm...are we supposed to have dialogue in this section, or is it like a monologue? I'll biff these two posts, depending on the answer.

Thanks.

I think it's however you want it to be. Maybe all update are done on the initial post. Edits don't bump the post up, so updates may get buried.

I don't know. Just winging it.

True, updates don't move the topic up. You could add a reply (to yourself) each time you update it. And perhaps delete earlier update notices at the same time.
