Almost immediately, my appetite was roughly halved. I became stunningly detached from eating -- I still feel real hunger, but the compulsions lurking behind it -- that little voice that says, "seriously, McDonalds, NOW" -- are gone. No more guilty batches of cookies or brownies before bed. I mean, I still like cookies and brownies, but there's just no drive to seek them out. I don't really care about them. -- Daffodil-11

I'm waiting for my book and was curious if taking all the good oils had helped anyones hair loss.  Thanks!   :D

Yes, several people have mentioned it. I've always shed really badly, and I'm pretty sure it's less now.

I think a lot of the "peripheral effects" of SLD -- like better skin and hair and mood -- are more pronounced if you've been limiting fats in the past. Me, I've always had a sneaking belief that dietary fats were my friends, so I've gotten some improvements adding olive oil, but not as much as some.

Thanks for that.  I've been eating lower carb, mostly fresh veggies, fruits and meats for quite some time.  I love both veggie and animal fats.  I eat almost no processed foods--I do love the sweets, though.

I'm waiting for my book to arrive--can't wait to get started.  I only have 10 or 15 left to lose.  It's these last few that are the headache.  This way of eating sounds amazing.  I'm inspired by all the testimonies.

Been reading the forum voraciously!  :D
