Widget progress
« on: May 05, 2006, 10:05:05 AM »

Hi guys! Today is Day 1 for me, I'm using this post as a starting point.

I'm 5'7", 158 lbs, 45 years old, female, good physical condition (I work out 3-4 days a week).

I've seriously yo-yoed during the past 15 years. Low weight: 135 High weight: 172

My weight is on a slow upswing right now.

Had success on a low-carb diet but found it too difficult to endure longterm.

Also had success just cutting all sugars and sweets out totally, ditto.

I'm especially drawn to the experimental aspect of this technique.

Good luck, all!

day 3, decided not to weigh myself for awhile because in general, weight gain/loss for me comes about 2 weeks after any major changes i make.

yesterday bowl of cereal in the a.m., 2 tbs oil, no lunch (wasn't hungry) 2 tbs oil, went out for dinner (indian! yum!)

ate about 1/3 to 1/2 of what was on my plate. i generally inhale EVERYTHING and want dessert. it was like my body just said, "OK, that's enough. don't want anymore, thank you."

very pleased with the "full" feeling!

back up 2 lbs, reminded myself that any change in me generally takes 2 weeks to be obvious.

still at 2 tbs ELOO at about 11 am., 2 at about 3 pm.

still feeling full after meals and not as interested in food.

Day 8, lost 3 lbs.

but then again i generally don't consider something a true "weight loss" until i hit 5 and keep it off a while.

but i continue to be very pleased! practically no appetite and continuing feeling of fullness.

i'm very pleased because i generally don't see any loss whatsoever until 14 days out with me.

hurray! so far so good. continuing good luck to us all!

Something I wonder for people who are finding progress slow. Do you take advantage of the reduced appetite to push yourself to eat less than you would normally want to? Or are you just eating less because of reduced appetite, but still eating until you aren't full?
